    DO NOT BUY A ZURICH WARRANTY!, October, 2016

    Dealer sold us a "bumper to bumper" policy for the 2009 Hyundai we bought used in 2010. The car has needed major repairs many times. The Zurich extended warranty covered a small portion of the bill on a few repairs and paid nothing on several other repairs. Our policy does not cover much and is definitely not worth much.

    Do they cover zombie apocalypse?, May, 2017

    Purchased Hyundai almost 8 years ago and was sold extended warranty policy. First attempted to use coverage a few days ago. My a/c was not working. Was told by dealership that condenser was leaking. Zurich denied claim, saying there was an impact. Picture showed small impact about 4 inches away from leak. Dealer said they did not think impact had anything to do with leak.

    Awful Warranty, March, 2017

    I had my 2011 Kia Sorento for six months before my engine failed. I got an extended powertran warranty through Zurich. The Service center I got the car from diagnosed the cause of engine failure as a result of an oil sending unit failure. After 2 weeks of fighting with them the repair cost is $9,000 and Zurich will NOT cover it because the oil sending unit is a switch and that's not covered under a powertran warranty. This warranty company will look for any reason not to pay for your repairs. Learn from my mistake and do your research about this company before you sign up for anything.

    NOT GOOD!, February, 2017

    I really refuse to provide a customer rating because this company is a sham. They really deserve ZERO STARS!! They are refusing to covering mechanical issues with my car that I have had just a little over six months. They sent out a third party claims adjuster who made a determination that the issue ws not a manufacturers issue and more of owner liability. I am peeved! Do not get this insurance coverage!!!

    Don't stand by their policy Poor Service Laura , August, 2016

    This lady was very disrespectful and not helpful at all... I tried asking her some questions about my claim or where I could be transferred in order for someone to help me with it... She was very snappy and had the worst attitude in the world when I was speaking with her... I wouldn't recommend anyone working with her or this company..... poor

    On top of that when I finally get in touch with a professional agent they just completely screwed me an my husband over on our claim. lying saying how much we owe when we don't this place is a complete rip off. any complaints please send to this email very helpful doi.complaintbox@zurichna.com

    Bait and switch, August, 2016

    3 year old car, 72,000 miles, transmission went out, wouldn't fix with good parts only refurbished and no coverage after the contract is done. Cost $800+ to fix car, should read the fine print, especially when you buy a lemon and are stuck with it.

    extended warrenty on my car, May, 2014

    Purchased an extended warranty on my Honda and when it cam to a $2500 repair bill zurich would not honor the claim. Worst customer service I have ever seen after paying a premium price for the policy have gotten nothing out of it. would advise everyone to never do business with this company they are a rip off

    Don't buy a Zurich auto warranty, October, 2014

    The auto finance guy chats up the importance of the peace of mind a vehicle service contract will bring. So you buy a Zurich "power train" warranty that covers the engine and transmission ... great. But when the transmission goes, surprise! There goes your high-priced peace of mind: They won't pay because the damage to the covered part was was caused by a non-covered part (a broken seal) even though the factory trained mechanic you took it to says he's not sure about that. They play games with language and you won't have the coverage you think you have. They have smooth-talking mechanics explain all the legalese in your contract away. Don't throw away your money on this sleazy company and misleading "coverage."

    Auto Warranty is terrible, April, 2015

    I have a problem car. It has problems, these problems started 3 weeks after i bought it. To make a very long story short, my vehicle was in the shop and no one could determine the cause, so they had to keep taking off more parts and pieces and finally dig into the engine. I told the dealership only to crack open the engine if the warranty company gave it the OK. I did not want to be holding a bill for all of that work. So as you can guess, they opened the engine, warranty company sent out an adjustor, they denied my claim, so I had to fight to pay for the work but not pay the $3000 bill. The dealership worked with me. I got it down to $1600 and paid it. I also paid $2000 for the extended warranty, so I have spent 3600 on the car. I bought a bunch of parts trying to fix my car. The car is STILL broken with the engine cylinders misfiring. Finally the car actually died. Cam shaft snapped, had to have the vehicle towed 150 miles ($1000 towing bill) because it broke when I was in the middle of nowhere Iowa. The people at the insurance company told me that having the heads removed and cleaned was "normal wear and tear" after 36,000 miles for this engine, which is interesting because my owner's manual sure does not say that! Now my vehicle is again in a shop, broken, and yet again fighting with this "extended warranty" company to have them cover parts and labor for broken things on the engine just to get the car up and running again. It is such a shame, but I would NEVER recommend anyone get this extended warranty, and if you buy a new vehicle ask who the extended warranty is and absolutely do not buy if it is Zurich!

    I may not be a mechanic but I know enough about cars to know that what they are doing and saying is completely bogus and their way of getting out of covering things that should clearly be covered by the warranty.

    This company sucks!, March, 2016

    They don't cover shit, I would like to have a face to face with the customer service rep that I talked to. I would never use this company in the future, put the Money that you would use to purchase this bull shit,no paying company in the bank and use the money for any future repairs on your vehicle, because they will keep saying that part is not covered! This company is just making money off the backs of hard working people.SHADY ASS COMPANY!!!!!

    Transmission issue not covered , June, 2016

    I paid $3100 for this policy, for 3 years coverage, when I bought my car at the dealership. I had a couple minor issues, they were covered, and I had work done at a dealer. No problem getting bills paid on these little problems Took car in this week, for lack of acceleration (we’re coming up on the end of the policy now); I have no clue what the problem is. Dealer determined the issue was: transmission pipe leaking fluid, due to rusted pipe. Zurich asked dealer to send pictures. After examining pictures, Zurich still didn't know if they would cover, said they'd be sending "an investigator" to the dealer, within 48 hours. So now, I have to rent a vehicle to get to work. The evening of the second day, the investigator arrives. The following day, Zurich advises the dealer they will NOT cover the repair because issue was due to corrosion. Now I am on the hook for the car rental, 2 diagnostic fees that the dealer charged, (which Zurich also didn’t cover), and a $3,000 bill from the dealer; and at this point I’ve been without my car for 5 days, while Zurich made their decision…which ended up being NOT in my favor anyway. The few things I did get fixed in 3 years, didn’t come close to the $3100 I paid for the policy. Save your money and pay out of pocket for your repairs, you’ll make out better in the long run. If you find yourself with a major repair Zurich will look for excuses to not pay the claim and leave you high and dry.

    Don't buy extended warranty , December, 2015

    Was preasured into buying extended warranty when I realized how much it was I called to cancel they charged a cancelation fee plus had to pay for 2 months of warranty when I told them I bought it while having diabetic shock they said only dealer can refund policy dealer says zurich charges the fee so back and forth for a warranty that doesn't even start until after manufacturer warner runs out.

    Simply Dispicable, September, 2015

    Claim procedures are convoluted. Customer service is non-existent, rude, and disrespectful. Not assigned a claim representative. Contract is unclear. Maintenance department contacted Zurich, supplied them with everything requested, and still didn't honor the claim. Wasted time, effort, and money...the employees are lazy, disrespectful, and dishonest. Everything is written in the company's favor...customers are left with a useless policy and a significant loss of money. There is absolutely no value in using Zurich as a warranty company. Unless you want to learn a costly lesson in 'what not to do'...Let me save you the time, the frustration, the headache, and tell you DO NOT USE ZURICH WARRANTY!!!!

    Never again, March, 2013

    I was insured tires of my 4x4 car with this company and when one was damaged I was disappointed to know that they only cover cost of this tire not including the cost of rest three which are also necessary to change in case of AWD cars.

    The end of story was that they even refused to cover damaged one as it was too much "worn" prior to the damage in their opinion. It was only half of its lifetime but that meant worn enough for not to pay for them.

    SMH PLEASE Reseach FIRST Will save u Time and $$$, April, 2016

    Ok I bought a truck from a dealer, and he convinced me to purchase a Zurich power and train warranty. Now mind you, before this I had never been interested In any type of extended warranty. So this was the first time, and I will say fortunately for me I did purchase this policy. Two weeks after my purchase of the vehicle, my abs light came on. Now because I purchased a powertrain warranty, I already new that any fix related to that was not going to be covered. But what I did not know was, if my Emergency brake fell off and destroyed my rear axle, that the parts which they claim to cover in their policy descriptions would not be covered. So Im like WTF I paid 17,000 $$$ now you don't want to fix something that cost 900$. I then started asking why they wouldn't pay the balance, I was told because my truck has "Tone Rings". I said excuse me, what is that??? BLah blah blah, I said im done Ill pay for it myself and then get my refund from you guys. Which seeing how I only had the vehicle for two weeks, I was pretty much guaranteed that. I then decided to do some research, and I will tell you I was able to find a more reasonable warranty that covered all my mechanical and electrical work. They are rated Number 1 by BBB, and you just pay monthly like your car insurance. They are the best!!!! They are not some third party warranty company!!!! I hopes this helps..... PS the company u should go to starts with an (E) Hopes this helps and like I said research. its not that hard. I just wasn't going to be taken advantage of.

    Should be zero stars, December, 2015

    Dealer sold a poor policy. We thought we were covered for all oil leaks...NEWS we weren't. Don't buy from this company. Look for another and make sure they cover EVERYTHING. No lines were covered. Whole transmission failed and we had to pay everything plus hole up in a motel for over a week. Towing was 270$ for 35 miles and we paid $170 of it. Only covers $100.

    DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!, July, 2016

    I have a Toyota Tacoma 2012. I water gotten in the hose for the transmission which cause my truck to work .Even the dealer ship said they extended warranty should cover this. But Zurich denied the claim saying the water/rust is not covered by the policy. This is a policy for extended warranty for the internal parts of a car..a hose. It is probably too late to tell you not get this company because if you are ready this you noticed you just got screwed. But it isn't do get these scam artist.

    RIP OFF, August, 2016

    Was pressured by finance manager upon purchase. I bought a Jeep Wrangler and he told me that it just wasn"t a reliable vehicle and that I would need this. Should have thought twice about it since he was wearing a Zurich shirt. Got " the best policy" they offered. Problem is , Every time I go to use it ( 5 times now at 2 different dealerships) the claim gets denied. I bought a 100 k bumper to bumper warranty, how does it get denied? The company won't answer emails or return phone calls. I did get through to the customer service line once and was told that nothing is covered until it breaks. My question was, if my engine is overheating, it has to blow up before it is covered? Their answer was yes. I blame both the dealership and Zurich for this and have already talked to a lawyer about sueing for my money back since I spent a few grand and received nothing in return. I have also had 6 friends by Jeeps in the last year and I told them all about my issues with this warranty. Should be a class action law suit coming with all the negative comments I see here. Just a total rip off.

    First claim, zero problems!, June, 2015

    You only get to hear the loudest voices, which are almost always negative reviews. Well I am going through my first claim right now. AC on my truck went out this morning. Dropped it off at a local reputable shop and it's going to cost over $700 to fix. The shop contacted Zurich and they are paying for the repair and I'm just out $100 for the deductible. Not bad if you ask me. They're also covering a rental car! So absolutely no problems, and when I spoke to someone on the phone from Zurich they were extremely polite and articulate. Absolutely great experience so far.

    Great company but they just offer builders risk insurance and we now need reg. home owners insurance would use them again if we ever build a new home again.

    Total claims failure, February, 2018

    We rec'd a 'lifetime' extended warranty provided by a Ford dealer when we purchased a pre-owned vehicle in 2016. Truck started 'ticking' and we took it to a dealer who diagnosed 2 bad valves which amounted to a catastrophic failure. Zurich's rep called it 'carbon' and denied the claim. We are appealing-don't let these warranties lull you into any kind of false sense of security - they are worthless!

    great company!!, January, 2018

    i purchased a bumper to bumper 10 yr warranty in 8/2008 for my brand new Hyundai Tucson. Great vehicle except for the A/C, I am on my 4th one....Zurich has paid for every one of them...and have been very helpful letting me know the laws regarding

    the responsibilities of the companies supplying replacement parts....and have never have they told me that I must use

    re-manufactured parts! my best suggestions are...you must read the very fine print....you must know the many details regarding what is or not covered....very very small print..black and white is the ONLY contract in play.. NO one is going to back you unless YOU have read the rules!! Zurich has your money, The repair company has the law on their side...you pay or they keep the car and sell it!! Verbal is never valid...only the written word!! what the finance or sales man says and what you think he means is just you being stupid....its a game .. grow up...do not blame the company for your stupidity!!! yes honey it can be an expensive lesson to learn... learn it do not blame anyone but your self for your lack of due diligence!

    Worthless Car Warranty, July, 2017

    My 80 year old mother bought a 2003 Honda Accord that came with a Zurich lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission. The car has been needing more and more oil added to the engine. It is now up to needing 2 quarts of oil every 1K miles. Zurich said if we have a mechanic open up the engine to find the issue it will only be covered if something is broken and not just worn. Living on social security she can't afford to take the risk of ending up with a huge bill they won't cover. Pretty much a worthless warranty some car salesman used as an attractive reason to buy the car.
