    TRYING TO CANCEL , January, 2017

    I have multiple policies with Wellington issues through Farmers who I have additional policies with. I filed a claim due to a TORNADO on Jan 16. Farmers settled in 2 days. I am still waiting on Wellington. I have had to chase down all information that I have received. Not one time has Wellington initiated a call. I am trying to cancel one policy that is 5 months old. I cant cancel the 2nd policy until the claim is settled. There is a $95 annual admin fee that they said is NON-REFUNDABLE. Or any portion of it. BBB is my next call. Tory, my adjuster, is rude and dismissive. Kim ,his boss, is condescending and rude. it has been 2 weeks and still waiting on a check.

    Look elsewhere, February, 2017

    Do not use this company. With them for 2 months because couldn't get other insurance cause of galvanized piping. Immediately they started making other demands. Wanted to insure my house for 200k less than what it would cost to replace. My agent had to be aggressive with them and provided details before they changed that. Then they continued making demands on things at my house. But when they told me I had to cut down my 100s of year old oak trees protected by the historical society that are healthy, beautiful, and solid. That was it! Repiped my house and changed companies. So of course they then did not refund me on the annual payment already made and added all types of cancellation fees. There should be a law protecting consumers from these type of companies. Run from them.

    Worst company stay away , January, 2017

    This is the worst insurance company Geico set me up with this joke insurance company I thought I was in trusted hands for insuring my cars with geico for many years that by combining my home too it would be great it's horrible geico sells the policy to this BS company I had water damage from a frozen pipe in Houston which is extremely rare they said that they will only pay $2500 how is that possible the damage is in the thousands they said the max they pay on water damage is $5000 how does any mortgage company accept such insurance consumers don't read the fine prints the mortgage company should have protected us from these scam of companies please stay away from them find a respectful company trust me there isn't much difference in price they aren't cheap my policy is $3000 a year I could have done better if I only knew

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THE ARE CROOKS THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT TRY THEIR HARDEST NOT TO PAY A CLAIM. LOOK ELSEWHERE. WE WILL BE APPEALING, THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.

    Denied Hurricane Claim, October, 2017

    Wellington is Officially Fired! We took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey, waited nearly two months only for them to call and tell me I did NOT meet my deductible??? every neighbor I have received a check from their insurance within two weeks.....but im denied after two months??? why did it take two months to tell me you were going to screw me? that was 8k out of my own pocket for repairs. as of this morning they are no longer my provider. FIRED!!!

    BAD BAD BAD!!, May, 2017

    Ever heard that saying, "You get what you pay for"? Well, they might be cheaper, but God help you if you ever have a claim. My first claim was for water damage and it was nightmarish. Mostly because of the adjuster Mr Massey, who was coldhearted and didn't care one bit about what I was going through. I hated dealing with this jerk. Second claim for storm damage was a nightmare, too, until I finally went up the food chain and got a manager to help me with my claim-- after dealing with a nonresponsive agent who lied to me all the time. Bottom line: Go somewhere else. They aren't worth it.

    TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!, November, 2017

    Hurricane Harvey damage, filed claim right away their adjuster came promptly but since then all I get is promises ( 2 more day then just a few more days) IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS AND STILL WAITING'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Need roof and fence repaired !!!!!!!!!

    BUYER BEWARE, May, 2015

    I was entrusted by Geico insurance to this carrier. I had to file a claim with this company due to the severe weather that North Texas has been hit with over the last several months. I have been fighting with them for over a month in order for them to come and fix my home. They don't seem to be in any hurry to fix the issues (water is pouring into my house). It seems like the longer I wait the more damage that its going to cause to my house. I have conveyed that to them and the people set in place to help, don't give a rats ass about you. There attitude is so non caring that it makes you feel like you are begging. DO NOT GET INSURE BY THIS COMPANY. I have gone as far as contacting the CEO through linkedin to see if I get any sort of response from them. I am not holding my breath for one. I think that they think that if they ignore me long enough that i will go away. They messed with the wrong guy. I would rather spend the money on an attorney before I feel like I got taken advantage by them.

    House Fire Claim, October, 2012

    My house burned down almost 9 months ago. Wellington has not paid my claim and does not seem like they will. I have hired a lawyer and have been through hell with this process. They are a joke of a company and my biggest regret in life was entrusting them with all of my personal items, memorabilia, awards, and history.

    Wellington ins. RUN From IT !, July, 2015

    We have been trough stormy weather in Houston and yes we had wind and hail damage, the adjuster has been taking one week to come out and now over two months and no payment yet ! VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS CO !

    RUN AWAY FROM THIS CO ! POOR SVC . THEY WANT YOUR MONEY But WHEN YOU NEED HELP YOU CAN KISS IT GOODBYE !

    These folks are wonderful!!, August, 2016

    I have had insurance with Wellington for 5 years. They were less expensive than my other insurance was before. They settled my claim quickly and fairly.

    They don't like to pay claims, March, 2014

    I am actually contractor who has been attempting to rehab a home for a customer with wellington insurance. We are still fighting them to pay for items that they are required, by the policy, to pay for. A job that should have taken 3 weeks, but the customer has been out of their home for over 4 month. Oh, And the customer has yet to receive the living expenses, also stated in the policy. I have the Texas Board of Insurance involved now! Do Not use this company!!!

    Horrible Insurance, April, 2015

    Horrible Insurance. I filed a claim for wind damage and they made it very difficult to get an adjuster. They refused to pay claim without an adjuster even looking at damage even though I had send them pictures.

    Horrible!!, June, 2014

    Denied claim of from wind blowing shingles off roof and causing water damage. AFTER they did they did the inspection prior to insuring and NO damage prior. WILL NOT PAY CLAIMS DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

    Denied Claim, September, 2015

    This is the worst experience I have EVER faced. The claims agent Nathan Garcia was not only rude but very sarcastic. Nathan refused to answer any of my questions and was very condescending regarding the claim I had from lighting hitting my house they are refusing to pay what they originally said they would. . In my eyes this is a SERVICE and SECURITY that we are paying for but Wellington does not see it that way. I will be cancelling my policy ASAP! I urge anyone that at hold a policy with Wellington to start looking elsewhere, and anyone looking for insurance to stay far away from Wellington.

    Great company to deal with. I had many home insurance options that helped get my cost down. They also resolved my roof claim quickly and I believe fairly .Will definitely continue with them in the future.

    This insurance is HORRIBLE, March, 2016

    THIS INSURANCE IS HORRIBLE!!! I do not recommend this to anyone. I have been dealing with this company for over a month now and they have declined my claim twice. WHY HAVE INSURANCE IF THEY DONT COVER ANYTHING. The people are RUDE and horrible with returning your call everything TAKES FOREVER AND YOU WILL GET THE RUN AROUND OVER AND OVER. This is the worst insurance company I have ever in my life dealt with.

    Stay Away or watch your deposit vanish in fees!!, March, 2016

    I have made two initial deposits with Wellington. One on 10/14/2015 for $435.00 & another on 1/15/2016 for 394.80 and both times the policy was cancelled by them company due to my roof, and both times they have avoided giving me my deposit back. I eventually received $88 back from the 2nd deposit and $0 from the 1st one (which was supposedly already sent in the amount of $141). After calling them I was informed that I would have to eat $600.

    Want money on time but don't want pay claim., December, 2015

    I file a claim for wind damage to my shingles . First time in 9 years that I filed on insurance Inspector came out took pictures got a call from from adjuster 1 day later saying they not fond pay claim bast on pictures he took .and his report .that system is enadiqute. Because the inspector can send what ever picture they want in and write the report to match .reason being the customer gets no copy of anything .therefore claim denied.

    horrible customer service, April, 2016

    I have been canceled for nonpayment 3 times now. Once because my premium changed and I was $6 short. The fact I had to prepay a month ahead didn't matter. They couldn't apply that premium to the short pay.

    Not Worth It!, November, 2017

    My home was affected by hurricane Harvey I've had 2 agents come to my home to see my roof and the mold it has created due to roof leak. I was denied twice but any little rain we get it leaks again. This is ridiculous! I guess my next step it is to go through legal matter. I will never ever recommend this company period its crazy how they are quick to charge but not quick enough to assist. So I guess we will see you in court! Sorry ass company!

    TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!, October, 2017

    Due to Hurricane Harvey we are in need of a new roof and we need to replace the fence that was torn down from the high winds. The person that came out to view our damage came pretty quick after the disaster, Sept 8th. It is now Oct 10th and the I have been given the RUN AROUND from our claims adjuster. On Sept 21, I was told 48 hours and we would have an answer. I then called on 10/2 , no answer, called back on 10/3 and she said by Friday I would have an answer. Then on 10/10 I called and she again said friday. PSH!!!! what a JOKE!

    Renewal of Policy, October, 2019

    Was in the hospital and not able to renew by date of renewal. was able to get to my home and contact them and explained. The rudest ladies that I had to deal with and made me feel ill. I was able to renew and paid a late fee and 3 weeks later received a cancellation notice. Why did they take my money from the beginning? Told that the down payment is not refundable.

    They Suck!, May, 2019

    They suck! What else can be said? So many others have complained about them. Some of the reps are rude. Don't follow-up. Adjusters think they can show up to your home whenever they want without an appointment then deny your insurance if you refuse their impromptu appointment. I ha to talk to several managers to teach their employees and agents a lesson.
