They take forever to [ay a claim, September, 2019

My Husband passed away Aug 1, 2019.. I am still fighting with them to review my claim. This is stupid. They want their money but it's different when I try and collect. They told me it would take 7 to 10 days to review.,. Now they are telling me 4 to 5 weeks and I am in a rush status. Come on.It's a big run around.

Hassle over paying claims, May, 2019

Purchased a disability policy thru my credit union on two vehicles, I have been out of work for eight months with two major back operations and then with heart attack which required quadruple heart bypass. I drive commercial vehicles and by law can't drive for a minimum of 90 days after the surgery and passing certain medical test before driving again. Today I received more paperwork to be filled out for the final six weeks which I have to depend on someone to help me get all this done since I am unable to get around and I don't have the necessary office equipment to do it from home. The cardiologist sent a detailed report on my surgery to insurance company but that is not enough for them. When insurance was added to my payments there was nothing said about all the stipulations other than documentation from doctor.

Financial RAPE is what they should be called., May, 2019

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I was sold a variable life insurance policy (as a single female with no kids) as a "tax shelter" by my (former) financial advisor. I have spent the last 3 years trying to find a way out of it. It has been the biggest nightmare of my financial life and the biggest "financial rape" I have ever experienced. Just to give you a small example (as I still have not gotten out of it yet) I found way to transfer my funds to an annuity without taking tax penalty or surrender costs. It took me several months working with a new advisor to decide which policy to transfer to. My new advisor was on the phone helping me stop my premium payments until I decided to transfer. MN life said "sure! no problem!" they then sent me an inconspicuous bill for $8500 saying I owed that much in premium. I found out today, they actually took out a "loan" against my policy to pay their bill because I hadn't paid it. ( IN my eyes and my financial advisor, we had called to stop premium payments) This "loan" now generates a taxable event. They claimed I just asked to stop automatic withdrawals from my bank, if I want to reduce the monthly premium to $0 there is different paperwork to fill out....

    Pathetic Customer Service, December, 2019

Can you believe it, I can't get straight answers on how to pay my premiums online? They insist on e-mail communication only, no telephone conversation. But their web site doesn't work. If this is how they are when I am trying to pay THEM money, it is terrifying to contemplate how I will be treated when the time comes for them to pay out.
