The Bad Faith Insurance Company

Unethical claims practices seem to be the norm. I've been asking to be provided with a Internal Appeals Referral form, which is required by the State of NJ for a week and have not had any response from the claims department.

A dishonest company

I have a policy with Penn National and have been in good standing with them for a few years. My car got water damage from rain and I received a call that my car is totaled and that damage is covered. I call to ask when I can cancel that car since it was totaled and when I will receive check, I then received a call from adjuster that my car is not covered due to lack of maintenance which is a lie. I spoke with [REDACTED NAME] an adjuster located out of the [REDACTED CITY] PA area. I can not believe how rude and nasty she was right out of the gate. I asked what I believed to be a very reasonable question regarding an accident that I was in no way apart of. I am trying to clear my driving record of an accident that I was miles away from when it happened. All I needed was something stating that I was NOT the driver. She told me its impossible for her to send me a copy of the claim report. Now in this day in age, when we can grow meat in a lab and cure diseases previously a death sentence; I find it extremely hard to believe that getting a copy of the claim report is impossible. Maybe she doesn't know how? To think that someone who treats insured members like that is representing this company is laughable. I can not stress enough how off putting the 5 minutes I spent talking with her was. I will without a doubt in my mind, never recommend Penn National as an auto policy to anybody. Chewing glass sounds more pleasant.
