Legacy, July, 2013
May be interested in a policy to benefit my family after my demise. Health is good. 82 years old have small "watch only" prostrate cancer and small "watch only" aortic aneurism - neither listed on on line questionnaire, so I checked "heart".
great Customer Service, November, 2019
Rachel Appel in Customer service was wonderful. She was polite, efficient and was a pleasure to speak with. If only all of the insurance carriers I worked with had staff like Rachel..... the world would be a better place. Nice job Rachel .
The company prides itself on superior performance., November, 2019
The claim service is excellent. There is no delays or red tape in the process. Whether for a living benefit or a death benefit, no restrictions ever come up.
Great Customer Service, November, 2019
I spoke to Rachel Appel in customer service regarding web site access and policy information and she was very pleasant and helpful. I had just got off the phone with a representative from another company who was less than friendly so speaking with Rachel was a breath of fresh air. She was also able to obtain the requested information in an expeditious manner. Kudos to North American Company
Stephanie Lind's customer service is outstanding!, September, 2019
I spoke with Stephanie Lind at North American Life. She is FANTASTIC, without her assistance we would not have been able to be as efficient in meeting our client's needs. Thank you for everything you do, Stephanie!
Annuity policy cheating, July, 2019
I have an annuity policy with North American, and it stated it is an index annuity and the return will links to S&P 500 low volatility daily risk control 5%. But after a couple years, I found it is not, they ( North American) subtract an “Index Margin” from the linked index. And each year this “Index Margin” can be changed by them anyway they want, so the linked index is a fake statement, it is a cheating policy. On the illustration, the “Index Margin” is 1.55% and it will not change, but I just found it changes each year, become bigger and bigger, 2016 is 1.55%, 2017 is 2.3%, 2018 is 3.4%, but the index return only about 5%-7% range, after the subtraction, the return rate become nothing. So all the linked index become meaningless. So the “index link” is a misleading.
