Buyer Beware - Group Health denies claims, December, 2016
Please be aware that Group Health plans in Washington State (the lower coverage plans specifically) provide less coverage than Medicare alone (you're paying premiums (in addition to Medicare) to receive less coverage than you'd have without the "added" coverage). Claims for medically necessary procedures and after care that would be covered by Medicare are denied by Group Health. Treatments and services covered are changed throughout the year. For example - they now (as of last month and immediately effective) consider full hip replacement surgery to be an ELECTIVE surgery and will not pay for ANY rehab. Even though Dr. says it's absolutely medically necessary, critical to patients health and safety. Please check to see what may not be covered through your current plan with Group Health and check with your health care providers about this Insurance Group. Consider changing during open season while you have the opportunity to one that at least covers what Medicare alone would cover.
Worse doctors ever, May, 2016
The most uneducated and unprofessional doctors in all of health care work here. I had no health problems 2 years ago. Now I have in just 2 years falsely diagnosed and treated cancer, blood clots, radiation poisoning, as tha, diabetis both due to mistreatment and long term drugs to fix problems they gave me. Releases that say I can not read and do not consent but still was operated on, I am legally blind. Unprofessional doctors who lie and say your emails are private and only they can read them, now dr Jill has in my chart her children's names, there diagnosis, her husbands name and diagnosis, where she goes on vacation and when, and many many other private facts on her, perms antsy in recent because of her lies. I also had a severe allergic reaction because of stupidity on two doctors.
Worst health plan, May, 2017
Reviewed RX with customer service before enrolling, and all RX were on the list with the exception of one, which was ok. I was assured that my RX will be covered. This is May 2017, and all but one RX has been denied, and probably my last RX will be denied too. CUSTOMER SERVICE LIED, AND DON'T KNOW CRAP! THE PREMIUM I PAY EACH MONTH IS ONLY TO MAKE ME LEGAL THAT I HAVE A MEDICAL PLAN. THE MEDICAL PLAN MEANS NOTHING! I HAVE MET OTHER MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOTHING BUT NEGATIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT GROUP HEALTH. I ONLY WISH I KNEW WHAT I KNOW NOW. ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO ARE CONSIDERING GROUP HEALTH......DON'T ENROLL EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE LOWEST PREMIUM BECAUSE YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR NO COVERAGE! LOUSY, LOUSY COMPANY!!!
Tricky and awful insurance company, January, 2017
I really do not like this insurance company, it is the worst one I have ever had. I was given a test without even knowing my doctor gave it to me and I have been working towards not paying it. These people are always doing this stuff though, not just to me but to family I know that uses them as well. Now, I'm scared to even go to the doctor because I don't know what kind of crap they are going to try to pull to get more money out of me.
