    Stay away for Dual Sports, January, 2015

    Had Geico Insurance for years. Had an issue with brand new motorcycle which eventually led me to suing Geico to cover the collision damage. In the end, they opted for a jury trial, i.e. have to hire an attorney, for something that a few thousand dollars would have covered. These guys are unbelievable and would strongly discourage anybody from insuring with them.

    Claim started 5/17, still not resolved 5 mths late, October, 2015

    This company is completely non-responsive. It's been 5 months with no resolve. I have gotten in touch with them (since the day of accident) every week/two weeks to resolve this claim. It was a 3 car crash (I was at 0 fault) and it just so happens that the car that hit me was a Geico policy holder as well. The have kicked me around to different associates and auto adjusters and no one has had a resolve for me. I have left several messages over the past few months with the correct auto adjuster, Kim Rodriguez, she never got back to me. Every time I called and spoke to an associate (or someone on the team) the acted like it was the first time I had every spoke with them. They would say they were writing down notes and next time I called I would have to rehash all the details every time I called. Then they would act shocked to find out that it was a 3 car crash and say they have to investigate it EVERY TIME! Mind you, they have the police report which clearly states that it was a 3 car crash. Keep in mind the person who hit me was a Geico policy holder. I have tried to get in touch with the supervisor twice, leaving messages. They never call back. I am completely an unsatisfied costumer and would NEVER refer anyone to them.

    Highest premiums and outrageous fees, December, 2014

    I added a car to my policy. Fee to add car $746.14. Monthly fee $361 for two cars. I was never told about the one time fee to add a car. Shady tactics.

    Deceptive Insurance Practices, October, 2015

    My wife and I were insured with GEICO for decades. We filed no claims until the past 2 years, then we had several comprehensive claims filed, and a couple of collision claims filed, none of which we were deemed at fault (two of them occurred when the vehicle was parked with nobody inside the vehicle). Of all these claims, we obtained all the information, along with statements claiming fault from the other parties involved. In each and every case, we were encouraged by GEICO to have them take care of everything and they subrogate the claim for us. We just learned recently that when our policy is up for renewal we may not be up for renewal, and if we are renewed, we would be removed from their premier group and placed with a different underwriter. Over the years, my wife and I have paid at least 10 times the amount in premiums than GEICO has had to actually pay out on our behalf. The interesting thing about all this is we weren't supposed to find out beforehand, but one of their Supervisors let it slip. My wife and I feel betrayed by this company that we once held in high regard. Yes, in the past two years we've had a fair amount of claims, but we were never at fault and instead of dealing with others' insurance and handling the claim ourselves, GEICO went out of their way to encourage us to let them handle everything for us. Now they are reviewing us for possible non-renewal because we've had too many claims of late, I must also point out that GEICO considers roadside assistance a claim. I'm a 100% Disabled Veteran, I am physically incapable of changing a flat tire among other services provided by GEICO's Roadside Assistance plan. So, now before we're not renewed, my wife and I are changing our Auto Insurance Company. I cannot recommend this company in good conscience.

    Over Charged , March, 2013

    I have been using geico insurance for last 3 yrs. every year they raised the premium amount though there was no event / claim repeorted in the last 3 yrs. The surprise came this year they raised the premium without informing me and it came to my notice when I checked my bank statement. When I called geico they told me they increased it because accident rate has gone up in the county I live. I asked them to cancell my policy, they said their manager will call me back and never happened. Geico not even pass any non claim bonus, but they might even take more money from your account with out informing you if you give them standing instruction for an auto pay. Be careful with these guys!!

    Very poor customer service, June, 2015

    I've only had one claim with Geico in the 50 years I have had their insurance. What I've noticed is that in the last two years, when I have to deal with customer service it is very poor. Even getting a quote for a new car turns into a 42-act play. No one knows what they're doing. Proper paperwork is impossible to get. And you are never allowed to speak with a supervisor.

    7+ yr policy.Got cancelled due to one accident., July, 2015

    7 Years with Geico with 2 cars insured. 1 incident happed this year the claim was for 1k after deductable. Geico cancelled my policy due to CLAIM HISTORY. I kid you not. I paid over 9k over the years and they dump me due to one bumper accident. To top it off I wasn't even driving the car.

    agent lied to me, April, 2015

    I was enrolled on the phone and told I had same coverage as my State Farm policy..just cheaper. BUT it wasn't the same..they dropped my collision which I discovered after my accident! Geico offered no explanation, except they didn't know name of agent or if it was recorded. Subsequently I was told the agent's name and the recording was erased. I'm going back to State Farm. Watch out for slick agents!

    I filed ankkju accident claim. I was asked to contact the adjuster at SERVICE KING (collision center ) in Irving TX. I went there . I took estimate as customer from SERVICE KING it was $2245.00. Then I saw the adjuster. She gave me estimate $1047.67. I protested and show the estimate which was more than double, she replied that when we get the car fixed they will charge this much. I asked to a guy working with SERVICE KING, he told when a big customer compromises on level of services then everything is possible. I understood why GEICO insist for repair through them. Peoples keep on paying to GEICO but when there is some claim, they have to compromise on level of service OR they are paid less than half the claim value. I protested on every level in GEICO authorities, at first they promised to solve the problem and asked me to send the copies of both the estimates. After receiving the copies they keep silent due to policies of GEICO. Due to this reason I left GEICO. Why we should keep on paying, paying and paying and get nothing.

    Geico raised and doubled my Auto insurance, February, 2014

    I was stopped at a traffic light with a soda on my lap, moved my arm and the cup spilt onto my lap. momentarily took my foot of brake to get cup and I rolled gently 6 feet into the car in front of me, taping it lightly. The driver of the other car alleged I made a scrath 1/8" x 1/16". Police on scene, the driver said he was OK, police did not issue me a ticket. Driver filed a claim that Geico paid out for the scratch $645.

    A year laterchanged vehicles and when I tried to get insurance from Geico, they doubled my rate and said it was due to the $645 accident. I had no other violations of accidents. I spoke to a Supervisor/Manager but they they would not budge, so I went to another company, who gave me a rate slightly lower than my first Geico Rate.

    When you have one small accident and they will sock it to you.. BEWARE..!!!!Buyers of GEICO,

    GEICO was treacherous to me, May, 2015

    I once was approached by a local insurance broker who enticed me to transfer to GEICO by quoting me a better rate for my home insurance. Out of good faith to a well known company that I was doing business for the first time, I spent all the time to do the paper work for the transfer. A few weeks later, I got a notice from GEICO saying that they re-appraised the house and had to charge more for the same coverage because they found some yard or garage square footage number was different from their initial appraisal when they quote me the rate. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! Wasn't the initial quote made by GEICO? Once I paid the bill according to the quote, were we not then in a contract: meaning GEICO has to honor the policy and if sth happens GEICO has to swallow the consequence and cover the damage?? Even if there is a mistake in the initial appraisal, the appraisal was done by GEICO and GEICO has to honor it and bear the consequences, including a cheaper rate!! How could I the customer know that there was mistake in the initial appraisal? I have to waste double the time: first to switch to GEICO and then to switch back to original insurer. I complained to a representative of GEICO about this but there was no follow-up. Apparently such treacherous behavior was tolerated if not condoned at GEICO. At this point, GEICO shows itself as a crook and fraud and I would, for the sake of common good, caution anyone who considers switching to GEICO: using GEICO is not for me in my life time.

    The worst possible insurance ever, February, 2014

    After working in a body shop that had Geico as a DRP I have seen the ridiculous restraints they have on the body shop, hence the reason your insurance is cheap. In the short period of time that I worked for the body shop, I cancelled my policy with them and moved on to a better insurance company.

    Poor Customer Service, May, 2015

    We had two separate car policies with Geico. When we switched my son's policy to Geico they cancelled within one week stating due to accidents that had claims. I was fine to switch, but they charged me $70 for early policy termination fee. I went round and round but finally paid when they sent the bill to collections. I should not have to pay for early termination fee when I did not request the cancellation. Geico said by law they can charge cancellation fee, but other insurance companies that I have worked with do not do this. I removed my other policy as soon as I found competitive company. They charged me another early termination fee of course.

    I was with Geico for 5 years, but when we had an accident, their rates sky rocketed (more than doubled) despite what their cust. service told us! So buyers be ware. 15 minutes can save money anywhere you go, and not only with Geico, but what matters is how the company deals with you when unfortunate circumstance takes place.

    WORST INSURANCE EVER!!!!!, September, 2013

    TRIED TO FILE A CLAIM FOR A TORNADO THAT HIT MY RV AND ITS FOUR MONTHS LATER AND STILL NOT RESOLVED. I HAVE CALLED EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR 2 WEEKS AND STILL HAVE YET TO GET A CALL BACK BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME $5,000 FOR A $ 9-12,000 VEHICLE!!

    WILL NOT RENEW MY POLICY AND WOULD RATHER PAY DOUBLE THAN WORK WITH THEM FOR FIVE MORE MINUTES! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

    Coverage denied, November, 2015

    Got rear-ended, opened the claim. No response for about a week, called them again they told me that coverage is denied on the basis that they cannot get hold of the other policy holder (which had also GEICO insurance). As the evidence provided pictures of cars, picture of the person, picture of person holding policy, picture of driver license, apparently that's not enough. Later i found that GEICO uses this technique often to avoid paying for damages.

    Regarding customer service, requested multiple times for manager to call me, called her at least 5 times, no response. Eventually got to speak with manager (Mallory), she told that provided evidence is not enough and no coverage will be provided.

    Would NOT recommend using GEICO as your insurance (if you can call it that), the policy is little cheaper at first but if you get into accident it's suddenly becomes more expensive then the most expensive insurance out there.

    If you got into accident, take pictures without moving the cars, get number of few witnesses and the most important do not talk to them, get a lawyer. Be smart, avoid their trap.

    Auto insurance claim, September, 2013

    I filed a claim after accident. I was asked to contact the ADJUSTER working at SERVICE KING (collision center ) in IRVING TX.     chiropractic claims, January, 2015

    As a chiropractor, I see many people who have been injured in automobile accidents. By far, the worst company to deal with is Geico. They allow 6 visits then they send the patient off to one of their doctors who then cuts off their benefits. It does not matter how badly they were hurt. During this period many calls from Geico are made to the injured. They pester the patient asking them how they are doing and when they will be done with their treatment. They won't pay the bill. Their response is "we are investigating the claim". The only recoarse is for the patient to get a lawyer. Which you would think would be a deterrent to Gieco to work this way. But I am sure there are many people who just give up and live with their condition or who pay out of their pocket. The best company to work with by far is State Farm.

    Incompetency At Its Worst, March, 2014

    The sales representatives I dealt with are not very helpful and one was actually incompetent and gave me wrong information. Talking to customer service was the most frustrating and unbelievable experiences ever. The customer service representative gave me untrue statements about my policy and was totally inflexible in terms of admitting the error in their handling of my policy.

    If you shop around, you'll find much less expensive insurance with the same or better coverage especially after the first six month period.

    I've been a faithful Geico customer for over 5years! I'm a General Manager for my work place! After working 6 days a week the last thing that you want is someone trying to push a sell of insurance on you! My payments are always on time and they are direct drafted! Well I received a letter from Geico saying that my 18 year old was being added to my insurance!!! I further read that it was going to be done because she used my address! My daughter stays with her mom and has her own car under her moms insurance! Well I call in to tell them this and was told that it was the (LAW)! I explain that could not be the law and was further told by a sales agent for Geico it was! I asked for a manager they gave me Courtney M, she wasn't any help either! I told her I had my homeowners and vehicles covered with them and I wasn't about to go for this! She in order for me to stay with Geico I would! They have Terrible customers service! I send them over 100 referrals a year! Hate to say it but I will not refer anyone else to them! There $50 referrals fee ain't worth having my customers from my store treated like that! I will no longer let there reps come to my store!

    No customer service, January, 2015

    I WAS with geico until I tried to use my towing insurance that I paid extra for. I was told my car was over ten years old so it was not covered for this. Even though they had no problem charging me for towing service every month. So I called State Farm and they were Way less money for better coverage and towing coverage that didn't exclude for older cars. Do not insure with geico. Total rip off!!!!

    Excellent service., May, 2015

    My wife purchased Geico auto ins. and has had it for several years. This year, she was involved in an accident with the latest snow storm in Virginia. Filing a claim with the insurer, they gave her a rental, conveniently located, and told her that her vehicle would be ready in three days? Unbelievable at the time; however, three days later, her vehicle was fully repaired. I, her husband, am totally satisfied with their service, expediently repairs, and customer interaction. I give this company 5+ stars.

    Stay Away!!!!!!!!, December, 2014

    I had an accident that was not my fault. Went through Geico because I thought I could get things resolved faster. WRONG.....the adjuster never returns my phone calls and I have to keep playing phone tag with him. My claim has still not been paid and it has been 1 month since my accident. I WILL NOT be renewing with Geico. The WORST customer service ever.

    BUYER BEWARE of Geico/Travelers, February, 2015

    October 2014 we switched our car and homeowners ins. to Geico. We insured 4 cars and 2 homes (primary home and a second home...a small cabin in the woods). We felt they were insuring the cabin to high but it didn't seem unreasonable so we paid, in full, both homeowners premiums. Geico's homeowners ins. is underwritten by Travelers ins. so the policy was written by Geico but it was a Travelers agent that inspected the cabin property. In December we received a letter from Geico stating that they were upping our cabin coverage 35000 dollars and our premium $125. The inspector had included upgrades that we don't have (he was not inside the cabin because it was already closed for the winter). He said we have ceramic tile, hardwood floors and drywall. We actual have wall to wall carpeting, vinyl flooring, old paneled walls and a drop ceiling. He listed a shed which is really a 3x3 wooden box that is only big enough to store a few gas cans. He listed 1 full bath but it actually has 1 1/2 baths. The Geico agent made the corrections and our coverage was now upgraded another 7000 dollars with an additional $157. January we received our bill. It was set up for monthly installments which has a $5 a month service charge. I called Geico to pay in full (why would I want to pay monthly now when I paid in full originally...duh!!!). After I made the payment she told me that the cabin was never listed as a second home and the premium would be another $60 but I just received a bill for $84. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I am switching from Geico/Travelers ASAP. Reason why...I have NO confidence that we have adequate/actual coverage at all. They have NO idea what they're doing. 1 star is to good of a rating.

    i have my vehicle insurance with them they reasonably priced you can pay monthly and you can do auto bill paper less billing over all its great they also handle claims fast the day of accident they were looking at the vehicle ordered parts next day they were working on it the third day they were finishing it up had it back by 5 great job geico

    Geico is over-hyped!they will lure you with thier rates initially, be careful: all your savings will evaporate after your first accident!

    A complete waste of time, March, 2014

    I spent several hours working through establishing three policies with Geico and received what I thought were confirmed quotes. When calling to finalize the auto policy the agent indicated that he had found a claim from 3 1/2 years ago. I explained that it involved a payout from a previous insurance company because of a car theft. We had a car stolen in Los Angeles. Suddenly the rate went up 30 dollars per month. They clearly should have reviewed this information when providing the first quote. Further Geico looks back 5 years when most insurers look back 5in t3 rms of claims. Finally, why would a car theft which was beyond our control and a very rare occurance, paid out by another company, impact on an insurance rate? Overall a distastful experience and a complete waste of time.

    I have never had an auto insurance claim ever. My wifw and son have no tickets whatsoever, however I recently got a pair of speeding tickets. GEICO immediately DOUBLED my premiums. I understand an increase but DOUBLE is pure criminal greed.

    We were insured with GEICO for many years but when we bought a new house, we switched to Allstate to get the multi-policy discount since they covered our home. Since then, our premiums with Allstate had continued to increase, even though we had been told they would decrease. We were told we weren't eligible for some of their cost saving programs and finally decided to switch back to GEICO based on past experience and cost.

    Geico refused my claim based on "fraud", May, 2015

    Vehicle was vandalized at the parking lot- Geico refused to pay and cancelled my policy. It took them almost two months to "investigate" the claim and after "independent review" they came to the conclusion that I hit my own vehicle against the wall while driving....Geico sent me the refusal letter claiming fraud and misrepresentation. Shortly after that they simply cancelled my policy without any notice. Geico is completely worthless! Would never buy any product from them.

    I am taking them to the small claim court and WILL GET every penny back from them!!!

    I have full coverage with Geico insurance, with a 500 dollar deductable and pay 39.99 dollars a month. So when other companies claim they can save me 480 dollars a year I find it rather amusing.

    Geico will slander YOU, September, 2013

    I just had this happen and wrote this email today to/with Geico.

    I saw the claim person today, I understand that insurance companies have to deal with a lot of fraudulent claims. And in my circumstance I understand I forgot to include a major detail that happened after the first accident. Because not only was there a lot of things going through my mind to keep me from thinking properly, but I just wanted to get my vehicle off the road before it got hit again. But I found it abso---------lutely offensive when I was told, that the claim person felt I made up a hit and run story to claim hit and run. Had he talked to my manager, my manager would have confirmed after the accident happened I told him I only had liability and was going to have to repair the damages myself, even if I had full coverage I don't trust you or any other insurance company to take care of any of your drivers.

    I know you people have not received any messages from me about payout or vehicle repair, because after I was even called by Geico and informed that the other thing I had on my insurance covered hit and run, I knew since I forgot to inform the police about it I was going to have to pay for it own of my own pocket still, and I HAD NO --- ---- PROBLEM WITH THAT until this ------------- basically said I was lying. Is this what I should expect? Do the right thing, report the accident, get ------ up in a another accident and be told, your a liar, the second accident was bull---- and never happened? I don't know what part about "I didn't file the claim right away, instead I got online to find out how much it was going to cost ME to repair this vehicle, since I thought I was only paying for liability" he did not understand. I have never been so utterly ------- insulted in my life.

    If you don't have a claim, then you save money, December, 2015

    Customer service are very good but not the claim adjuster. If you have a car accident, the claim adjuster just look at the police report (it is after the fact of the accident) and the claim adjuster won't listen to your story even it is the fact. She just want to complete and close her case as soon as possible and won't support or work on your side, ended up you are 100% fault if the other driver was lying in the police report.

    My son had an accident. In our 2007 dodge charger. Called the customer service and claim office. My claim was taken care of in a timely manner same day. Customer service And claim adjuster were concerned about my sons well being. We were able to get a rental right away and everything was explained to us so that we could understand our policy.     Affordable & Great Customer Service, August, 2013

    We were referred to Geico by our family. We were previously insured w/ Met Life through my company w/ automated pmts out of my paycheck. My company discontinued this service & it drove my ins rates higher, reason why we switched to Geico. We are checking current ins rates to see if we can lower our pmts again. Our daughter is driving on a permit & will get her license next month- trying to offset extra cost of insurance. Overall happy w/ Geico though.

    Cost Is To High, January, 2012

    I use to think GEICO was cheapest, however, not any more! The rates are high today. I have never had any tickes nor accidents and I am still paying $76 a month on a 2006 Chevy. Service is okay and mypolicy.geico.com works well.

    My Reason For choosing Geico, June, 2013

    While I was in the military, we had a few differwnt Ins co. but when we moved we had to requalify with them. Finally went to Geico for the prices,which were lower, and for the convenience of not having to requalify every time we got stationed at another base. Just let them know the type of house we were in and it was done. So convenience, price, and good costumer service are the reason for choosing Geico.

    Lack of honesty, April, 2016

    Last time they sent me a policy and after I agreed with the price and ready to pay the premium, they sent me again another policy that has $20 higher premium than previous one at the beginning of the coverage period. $20 may not be a big deal, but their dishonest behavior does.They are not organized well to communicate the customer. Recently the 6 months premium layout to pay five times rather than monthly(6 times). They are very selfish and greedy organization.

    First accident doubled my premium, January, 2016

    Geico is a thug. They have time to go through public record and send letters to home owners on students and other people who live in the home and send out stupid letters to home owners about adding them automatically into the existing policy home owner doesn't respond. Is Geico that stupid? Other smarter insurance company have the courtesy to call but not Geico. They don't even bother to check if the other people already have insurance or not and people have to wasted their time to prove that the other person already have insurance? Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!!!!

    Horrible customer service, November, 2015

    When I tried to remove my adult daughter from my policy I was told I had to prove she no longer lived with me, so I had her fax her rental contract to Geico showing she lived in another city, then I was told that she had to show proof of her own insurance, but I kept explaining she doesn't own a car so why would she have insurance? They insisted the only way to take her off the plan was to sign an exclusion that she would not be covered at all if she ever drove either my husband or my car. It was so frustrating, I decided to look at other companies and immediately got a quote for better coverage with a $200 savings from what I was paying at Geico. I will NEVER use Geico again.

    Geico enabled insurance fraud, October, 2015

    My son in law got into an accident in Osceola County FL in February 2010, we were not in the car, a large van ran into our Saturn bumper on right side (passenger side) when he tried to circumvent a slower vehicle.

    Osceola sheriff came, talked only to the other driver then came over and said claims should not be more than $1000. My family thought he was talking about our claims against the other driver.

    Instead Osceola sheriff wrote in official report that it was our vehicle suddenly pulling out from left into traffic that hit the van. Official accident report diagram marked dent on Right Front instead of Right Back. To today (October 23, 2015) we have No Dents on Right Front bumper.

    Geico disbursed $1600 claims to this van driver over our protests that Geico needed to come out and check for themselves and see where the damage was to our car. Geico refused, said must go according to sheriff's report.

    I went to Osceola County sheriff's office and showed report and brought the car as evidence. The staffer who saw the physical evidences said report should be corrected and she will inform the sergeant in charge. Later that same day, we got call message from Sergeant "Levin" who said never to step in their office again and never call to question. Month later we were told there is no Sergeant "Levin" working there. To this date every time I look at that bumper damaged I hate Geico all over again!

    I have had GEICO auto insurance for 6 years, and I am now in my first claim with them and it is horrible. It is worse than being in the accident, which was not my fault. Of the 4 people I have had to be in communication with, only 1 was worth talking to and that was Colby Richardson. Due to the plethora of sloppy claims agents, I have moved onto another auto insurance company. They are cheap for a reason, because they handle they claims cheap and slow. It is like going to Walmart to process you auto insurance claim, they are that cheap in how they handle claims.

    WASTE claim department ever seen, October, 2015

    I was involved in crash for which I was not at fault. It was Friday evening and I decided to call GEICO the next day. But wait, GEICO claims are not based on evidence but when are you reporting about the claim (really?). The statement given by claim dept. "Third party contacted us first, that means you were at fault and did not provide us information first hand - so you are at fault (is it?)".

    Do not waste your money in GEICO - they initially lure you with low cost then when you actually need them they either make their own decision without proper investigation or try to avoid your calls and/or emails.

    Horrible, September, 2015

    I became a geico customer after 15 years with Mercury due to lower payments. After just one accident 7 months in (after 8 years without an accident) they started raising my rates every few months until they tripped and i left. Then I found thousands of dissatisfied online. Guess I should have done more research. Geico are scam artists.

    Every time I tried to provide Geico insurance agent honest information, agents would use my information for my disadvantage and for their advantage! I got so fed up with that and left Geico. I did this twice and am NEVER going back.

    Completely Not Worth Money, September, 2015

    We were driving down the road and our wheel displaced from our truck. We were told by the shop that it should take 2 or 3 days to fix the problem. When Geico got involved, we were told it would take weeks. That's because they are looking for the same after market wheel that caused the issue. They want to recreate the issue! I called and spoke to.... brett employee number u713wx katlin employee number 181425 dan barley employee number 156583 No one could talk because it was after 5. I'd imagine that a multibillion dollar company could afford a 24hour rep that could fix issues. Nonetheless, I am not OK with the part that caused the problem being put back on my truck. I am not OK with not being able to talk to a single human that could fix the problem. At this point, I am going to contact an attorney if we can't find a solution! My truck should not take this long to fix. I was told by the shop it takes 2 or 3 days, but the insurance company would need to purchase 4 wheels. Well, purchase them or I am calling an attorney! Welcome to vacation with Geico! Because they are not willing to do that, we have to stay 180 miles away from home for weeks, not days! This company is a joke! They are not willing to take care of customers, they are not willing to help, and they are not worth your money! I will do everything I can as a Google news partner to spread the word!!!!

    My girlfriend just showed me her auto insurance plan with Geico, that she's had for 3 plus years. I fell of my chair.... $300 a month for ONE 2010 Ford Focus !!! After we checked several other companies, we determined she was paying more than DOUBLE what other companies charge. When she called Geico, they said 'this what they charge'.

    Cancelled me without proper contact, September, 2015

    Sent me a letter asking for my wife's license and to confirm residence. Phoned them immediately and thought everything was resolved. Next thing I knew I was cancelled without further notice. Called to reinstate and was asked to mail proof of residence and have no insurance until it reached them. I live in 2 states (like a snow bird) and was pressured into choosing the state where my policy costs literally doubled. Lots of insincere sweet talk, but they are bottom line - crooks.

    feedback on how GEICO handled not at fault acciden, August, 2015

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Jessica Baranek 520-258-0791 of GEICO who was my claims examiner and a commendation for Mariusz Ostrogorsk 520-730-1872 who was my damage adjuster. I was very dissatisfied by Jessica service. She was rude, pushy and inconsiderate. I asked her several time to communicate by phone only for urgent matters else use e mail yet she repeatedly disturbed me at work by calling on my cell for nonurgent matters. In contrast Mariusz respected my requests and communicated by e mail as requested. The accident was on 1-9-15; Jessica did not initiate contact till around 1-29-15 [claim handled by others in GEICO until then] and then insisted on conducting recorded phone interview within a few days even though I had already provided GEICO with a recorded deposition earlier. This had to be during my regular work hours which caused me great inconvenience and financial loss since I only get paid for the hours I work. Even worse, after the interview she said I was at least partly at fault even though the insurance company for the opposite party accepted full 100% responsibility and the police report given to GEICO clearly showed her to be incorrect. I waited this long to file this formal complaint as I wanted settlement from opposite insurance company completed for fear of retaliation by Jessica.

    In contrast, Mariusz was always fair, considerate and helpful in a time that was very stressful for me since the other party was 100% at fault but I was injured in car accident. He was cooperative in accommodating my needs to the extent feasible. While the estimate he provided was not generous, it was reasonably fair. That is far more than can be said for Jessica.

    ARE YOU A "RISK" ACCORDING TO GEICO???, July, 2015

    Was looking for car insurance; LOVED GEICO 10 YEARS AGO!! Now... not only did the insurance agent flat out lie about who does and doesn't need to be placed on my policy (obviously up-selling) but apparently GEICO has now decided that they are only going to insure NO RISK DRIVERS, as if anyone knows what that means. As soon as the agent labeled me a DRIVER AT RISK, HE HUNG UP ON ME! If I wasn't offended yet, I was by that point. I have had one ticket, my entire life over 5 years ago; and never been in an accident or needed to file a claim. MODEL CITIZEN HERE. They told me to "call again in 6 months" when I was less of a "risk". I called progressive; and guess what? Got a bang up deal on 2 vehicles and even added renters insurance at $9 a month! Who could pass that up, right? If you are looking for an insurance company that will stand by your side during the bad and good times, PROGRESSIVE is your place! Also, notice that GEICO closed their Google+ page, because people were starting to leave 1 star reviews; just an observation. Looks like an employee typed in ONE 5 star review, the same date the Google+ page was shutdown. It is now listed as "permanently out of business" when it should be listed as "we just don't want you to know that people hate our company and why by reading our awful reviews" For those of you that are thrilled with the company, good for you, I was there once myself, but apparently a ticket 5 years ago makes me a "risk" and they refuse to insure me; btw, the ticket was for going 5 miles over the speed limit; FIVE MILES! I would have fought it, but I had just moved to a different state, so, I just sent them the payment. At this point, I'm glad I got the ticket; we don't live in a perfect world, and companies that act like your friend (LIKE PROGRESSIVE) beats companies that act like you're just a dollar sign.

    Homesite was the insurance co. GEICO assigned me.They are a good co. but if you live in ok. they charge 2% of your total coverage for a deductible on wind and hail.Forgot to tell me that until Ihad a claim.No it wasn't on my policy, had 500 dollar. A supplement I never received.

    Why so many insures?, January, 2012

    According to laws of the States, many things must be insured. I know it is reasonable. But, believe me, it is too many for most normal people. There are car insurance, house insurance, phone insurance, health insurance, etc. Why do not some companies provide an integrated insurance for most of these things and try to reduce the cost of the people. I always wonder there must be a win-win policy for both the people and the companies. Unfortunately, nobody cares about so despite many useless complaints.

    This company has treated me right on several occasions! My 2006 Toyota Prius was totaled - - - probably could have been repaired, but would never have been the same. They cut me a check for full market value. Medical payment procedure was prompt and fair. In other ding and dent instances, always stood behind me, even gave me some pointers on how to get things covered with no rate increase. <3

    Got hit by one of their policy holders, May, 2016

    I got hit by one of their policy holders. They assumed responsibility, but now they are asking me to fill out a bunch of paperwork because I went to the doctor for neck strain and a concussion. I feel like they are calling me a liar when I've tried to be nice to them. They said they were going to offer me a settlement of $250, which seemed shady, then they never sent the paperwork. I got a quote from them many years ago, their rate was by far the worst. I don't understand why anyone would want to work with them. They are slimy.

    I Spoke with a live Representative because i lost my job and made a 50 dollar payment the representative i spoke with said they will send out a cancellation within 10 days and if my payment was made before the end of the month i would be fine, LIE, LIE, LIE with them its all about how much money they can get from you. after speaking to a so called manager he says the insurance was cancelled on the 22nd witch was less than 1 week ago and i was ready to pay my balance but instead of him considering what i recorded from his rep and misleading me he responded that they will no longer cover me and its best i find another insurance company and bammmm! all set found a better price and nicer reps this GEICO IS A LIZARD SUCK IN ALL THEY CAN FROM YOU Worst company i have ever delt with in 10 years they are a joke.     An online Geico representative cancelled my auto insurance policy after I emailed them threatening to move to another company after they raised my insurance an additional $78 a month! The only contact from Geico was an email indicating that my insurance was cancelled the following day at midnight. If I had not checked my email I would have been driving without insurance!! I do not know the current laws that regulate automobile insurance companys but I'm pretty sure they left themselves open for a law suit if I had gotten into an accident. I hired Geico as my insurance company over 15 years ago. Geico you are fired! I will give my money to a company that does not cancel insurance without any notification. This left me and my family at considerable risk. Any company that operates under this kinda of business ethics should be not be allowed in the industry.

    GEICO is TERRIBLE!!! You want to know how they can charge lower rates? They don't do anything when you file a claim against them. They make a few phone calls (without leaving messages) to their client who hit you, and then say they can't get a hold of them so your policy has to pay for it. It's great to save a few bucks each month in insurance, but when you actually need them they don't do anything. SUCH A JOKE!!!

    Extremely displeased by the conduct of Geico Claim, March, 2016

    I was hit by a Geico customer and was directed to a claims facility for a Geico estimate. During the estimate, I was told the discrepancy of the estimate from the shop I preferred and the Geico estimate would be worked out and I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket. That was not the case and now I have to pay for an accident that wasn’t caused by me. I guess this proves you get what you pay for. I would rethink the using Geico if this is how they treat people with claims against their customers.

    Per our previous conversation, the damages to your vehicle have been reviewed.

    Based on the damages presented, the damages are consistent with another vehicle opening it's door into the passenger side of your Car.

    Per you Family Auto Policy, a collision loss is defined as a loss caused by upset of the covered auto or its collision with another object, including an attached

    vehicle. It is clear that another objected collided with your vehicle per the damages observed.

    Therefore, this claim would be categorized as a collision loss.

    Well if the damage was due to another vehicle opening its door into the passenger side of my car, it would be small dent and not the dent of the size of the shoe. You are just harassing your customer and your customer service is horrible. You are making false statements when i am reporting the claim and then your adjuster reads those flase statements and inspects the vehicle. Terrible way of doing business and robbing the customers.

    Claim reported incorrectly by Adjuster, March, 2016

    Someone vandalized my car and I called Geico claims to report the incident. The person on the other side of the phone made a note in the system that it was hit by the door of another car. I told him that it wasn't hit by another door and I don't know what happened as I wasn't present when the incident took place. He didn't bother to change the statement and marked it as collision damage instead of comprehensive damage just because I have a $500 deductible on collision damage and $0 deductible on comprehensive damage. When I argued with him, he said the adjuster will make that determination. So I took an appointment for car inspection the next day with the adjuster and the adjuster just looked at the notes and told me that it looks like it was hit by another door and would be collision damage. After arguing with him for couple of minutes, he changed his story and told me that it was hit by a white car while it was backing up and it has left some paint on my car. I told him it was not paint and dust and he said it was still hit by another car. So the adjuster has no knowledge of what he was talking about and went forward with the collision damage as he knew I had a $500 deductible. I reached out to his supervisor and manager and they asked me to come for the inspection for second time. They repeated the same thing that it was hit by another door or car or an object and would be considered as collision damage. They were not sure what happened and just assumed it was a collision damage so they can get the money out of my pocket. The damage looks like someone kicked the door and vandalized my vehicle. I have been with Geico for over 2 and half years and that's how they treat their valuable customer. I am so disappointed with Geico. I want to get my car fixed and have been waiting for them to update the claim but they keep repeating their story. Extremely disappointed with their service.

    had an at-fault claim recently. geico handled it promptly and without hassle and even paid for rental car to injured party while their vehicle was being repaired (which I didn't necessarily expect).

    given that I went with them primarily for low rates (liability only) and didn't expect top service and almost kinda expected hassle around claims, I'm pleasantly surprised and happy to recommend them.

    I am NOT a Geico customer. Nor will I ever be. I have attempted to file a claim against a Geico policy holder since September 2015. It's the end of December, and Geico is stating that they cannot get their policyholder to respond to their inquiries, that they will deny my claim. So, they collect premiums from their policyholder, that damaged my vehicle, and when said policyholder decides to evade their attempts of contact, it becomes my fault to fix my vehicle myself....mmmmm??

    Geico would up the price without notifying you, September, 2015

    After I got a traffic citation, I called Geico to ask for help. The customer service person said sorry and told me to go get it removed from my record by going to traffic school. I got the citation removed right away. The next thing I noticed on my next insurance bill was that they upped my insurance WITHOUT notifying me and even though the citation was no longer on the record. I feel like Geico is always trying to get your money, but not trying to help you. I don't trust Geico.

    This company is a ripoff., July, 2015

    I have been waiting 3 months for an adjuster to look at a small chip on the front of the car, which occurred when I pulled into a parking space. They refuse to schedule an appointment at the auto body shop that is closest, wanting me to drive way across town. Meanwhile, my rates have gone up, even though I am supposed to have accident forgiveness. So I can't get my car fixed but am stuck paying money every month. Geico is nothing but a huge scam.

    I didn't like assistance from agent Shari of GEICO company. I called to her in the morning to ask her to provide me just a simple information, and I didn't not ask her to change my auto insurance policy. Instead of helping me, she changed my car insurance policy without my permission and send me a new big bill by email. It took for me the entire day to solve this problem and gave me a lot of headache and stress. I finally solved this problem by 5.30pm. Other agents seem like professional good agents and tried to help me.

    GEICO staff are always friendly and helpful. I had one claim; it was paid on-the-spot. Rates are the lowest I can find. Since I am a full-time RV'er, I must have a company which understand those of us who are retired and travel in our RV's full-time. GEICO does, and offers (at no additional cost) several enhancements to the RV coverage which are similar to home-owner's coverage.
