    Disappointing. I feel betrayed., September, 2015

    We had Electric Insurance on our cars for 13 years, and were enrolled in autopayments through our insurance agency. Around the time of my mother's passing, apparently they decided we were behind in our payments. I don't know what went wrong in their system, but they cancelled us, and refused to hear anything from my insurance agency or myself to work it out (and we were perfectly willing to catch up and continue), then threatened to put us to collection for the back-pay which after their forcing us to take our business elsewhere we didn't want to pay for the obvious reason that if they were gonna mess up and cancel us after so many years when we were already on autopay with them and didn't want to hear a thing about it from us, well we didn't want to hear a thing about it either after moving on to a better deal anyway.

    Horrible, what a disappointment after over a year of having been loyal, sayisfied customers to them. Rude, unfriendly, completely lacking in compassion, and unaccountable for their mistake - such a significant decline from where they were. The whole scene has become downright criminal, but this was genuinely disappointing.

    Absolutely Not!, February, 2018

    Electric Insurance is a terrible company!

    There should be a zero stars choice because Electric Insurance is a big ZERO. My truck slid off of the road and into a ditch due to black ice and hit the embankment of a driveway which damaged the front bumper, radiator, a headlight, and dented a fender. That was a month and a half ago and I finally got my truck back yesterday without the dent repaired because they refused to cover the dent claiming that it was not due to the accident, which it was. They also stopped returning any emails or phone calls almost two weeks ago and I would not have had any transportation once their rental coverage ran out if not for the kindness of the auto body shop where my truck sat for that month and a half while the shop waited for authorizations for repairs. As it turns out Electric Insurance hires seedy private claims adjusters who also ignore phone calls and collude with Electric Insurance to deny any part of your claim which they can get away with. Now I have to live with the dent or pay out of pocket to have it repaired but at least I have the truck back in my possession. Be forewarned: Electric Insurance is not a company to do business with!

    Premium comparison, July, 2012

    Insured 9 years with Electric Insurance Co. and premium rates have been great. Never had claim and now my premium doubles.

    Electric Insurance are thieves. Stay away., June, 2018

    When I discovered that my mortgage company was invoiced nearly an additional $1,000 premium I learned that - without my knowledge or consent, nor that of my agent - Electric had seemingly unilaterally decided to appraise my home, increase my coverage to ludicrous levels, and invoice my mortgage company (who promptly paid the invoice) for a huge unauthorized, and unnecessary additional premium.

    Painful lesson learned, April, 2018

    Former GE Employee, 32 year customer of Electric Mutual, I bought a new car and shopped for coverage. I switched to Travelers and saved over $2,000/year. I'm Mad as hell that I had been getting screwed for years. My bad. Their response? We never said we were the cheapest. 32 years of trust vanished in a day.

    Good on claims, but not the cheapest, January, 2016

    Claims processing and settlements very fair, but rates have been rising consistently for the past several years. Billing problems/issues have been minimal.
