THIS COMPANY IS A MESS , July, 2016
Agents quit and leave their mess ups to new agents. Wrong charges from previous agent never get fixed because nothing was documented by pervious agent. I've spent hours on the phone with different people and no one can help. Just tell me I have to pay the charges that they decided I have to pay. If you do go thought this company. DONT DEAL WITH AGENTS. Always deal with customer service so every Convo gets documented.
Horrible agents who didn't care, May, 2016
After 25 plus years of service, we cancelled our auto and homeowners policies Both AC units were damaged during a thunderstorm. They insisted they could be repaired when two independent AC heating companies said it would a very temporary fix for a major issue, and they refused to repair the units. Country Financial claims agent was rude and disrespectful. Our agent offered no advise or help. Worthless service for tenured customers.

This company is worse then a joke, simply because a joke would make you laugh this company is nothing more then infuriating. I am not insured with these morons or I would be in deep. I was rear ended by a person that is insured with them and let me tell you the accident was the least of my troubles. My car is a simple certified pre owned 2015 for fiesta se with 33600 miles on it, I spent four months finding this car after researching pricing and test driving all makes and models this is the car I wanted. The adjuster took a week and a half to get to my car. My cars current value according to country financial is $15,892 there was $4,700 of damage done to my vehicle, their adjuster didn't even write up a quote he looked at the car and saw that the hit was "so bad" it bent a part of the sub frame which is part of the structure. According to the adjuster Country Financial has this thing with unibody cars, they unequivocally will not touch one if the sub frame is bent due to down the road liability. They totaled my car in less then three minutes. A car that will last me my adult life is worthless because of a policy I never ever agreed to. I called three body shops in my town and one SPECIALIZES in unibody cars, not a single one has ever heard of this nor had ANYTHING good to say about Country Financial. Every single claim they make when country is liable they fight down to the cost of a screw! I called my company (Allstate) and they said not a problem at all my car is totally fixable and is warrantied for as long as I own the car, and had an adjuster call me in fifteen minutes and was at my car three working days later. Simply put Country Financial is the one of the worst places to have insurance with ever, PERIOD. Go with a real insurance company literally anyone would be better. Stay away from these complete morons. They have no idea how to treat a customer let alone someone their customer hit.
Refuses to pay for damage done by their client., July, 2016
This old lady backs into our car. She it the passenger side, rear, panel. Her big SUV, brand new, didn't even have a tag yet, only had scratches on it. Our small passenger car has a dent and broken reflectors, scratched paint. We called the police to file a report. She admitted to not having paid attention, and didn't see us. The old lady gave the officer and old insurance card. So she lied about having insurance on the SUV. Then we found out that that Country Financial was her Auto Insurance. We called them, sent the police report and waited. I had to call them back when we didn't hear anything.
They told me that they deemed the accident 50 / 50 fault and they were not going to pay anything to get our car fixed. I tried to reason with them, but they said I needed to get it fix myself. What a total rip off. I will do everything I can to make sure people know that they are a sorry excuse of a company. Pathetic.
poor service, February, 2016
Accident happened in November 2015. We filed the claim the next day. It is a very obvious liability because their insured was trying to turn left on the very last lane by crossing 3 lanes and accidentally hit the end of my car. We received instruction from Country financial to send the car for inspection at Gerber collision. The inspection was done more than two months ago. Up till now, we still receive phone call from Country Financial requested us to send my car for inspection. There is no liability decision made so far, no phone calls, no update. Very poor management!
Claims Rep Was Cheerful and helped ease my stress, July, 2015
I got into an accident that totaled my car and the other car. Thankfully nobody was injured, but it did end up being my fault. Monica Shields was my claims rep and she was so cheerful and made me laugh on the day after the wreck which can be very stressful as you try to sort out the paperwork and particulars. I appreciate the tone and demeanor of the people at Country Financial. They understand that you are stressed and confused and they really do a great job of helping you and getting your life back to normal.

Customer Service rep is very rude and not helpful at all in the 62401 office. One claim and we were cancelled. We will not ever insure with Country Financial again.

They are liars. Their agent was putting words in my mouth during accident questoning. If any one has their auto insurance, please dont hit my car. They will do anything not to pay.
Shady Policy changes, August, 2018
We have been customers for over 14 years. The local agents are great and very helpful. We recently called to file a claim for under $2,000 for water damage. Luckily we asked all the right questions about how it would change our rates. In June of 2018 Country Financial instituted a new policy that would greatly impact overall rating and our choice to look for other coverage. Anyone who files a claim, of any value, will accrue a rate increase of 20% in their rates for a 5 year period. If there is a need to file a claim within that 5 year period, your rate will increase another 20%. This was also not disclosed to customers or even agents until the question was asked or until a claim was filed. Disgusting!

I was rear ended by a country bumpkin client. Excuses, evasion and general BS. Their best advice was to claim it with my insurance. Hello, idiots. Your client hit me !!

Filed a claim with them a year ago. They have misplaced the paperwork multiple times. Barb is the worst; she blamed us for having a Mac computer and that she can't access our documents. I am a computer programmer.

So I made a call with one of the guys at the call center and I didn't like the man! Seemed immature, trying to be funny(ummm hello I am trying to talk to someone with my information that I pay for at this company!!) Couldn't even catch his name because he just seemed to laugh a lot like he was high?!!! I mean do they even drug test at this place?? I thought this was suppose to be professional job, so I was fed up and hung up. Never ever again!!

We were customers for 20 years and had our home burglarized in which we were victimized and had a small fire within a one year period and they dropped us from our homeowners insurance. We had all our insurance thru them 5 total policies other than our homeowners - never ever use them they will drop you in a heartbeat. They do not care about their customers, they will kick you when your down.

Avoid this company like the plague. Their reps my be nice people, but the corporation is shifty. We have had several problems with them. The best example is that we had a homeowners claim and they didn't want to pay to make the issue right, so shortcut us. Obviously, the problem wasn't resolved, and we ended up with more problems & claims as a result...cascading. Then before we could finish up the repairs at our place out of pocket we received a notice from them that they were terminating our coverage for having had too many claims.
These people are ugly to the core.

I have been with the company for more than 17 years, I never changed because I have never had any issues with them until now. They increased my premium without telling me, I understand that by law they don't need to tell me anything, but out of courtesy that would have been nice. I ended up canceling my policy, I wrote a letter to my agent stating that I am going to cancel my policy and I put the date I wanted it canceled. My agent Joshua Hoffscheider canceled my policy almost a month before the date I wanted it canceled. So, now I have a lapse in my record due to negligence on his part.

Had this company for 8 years with no claims or issues, then a car I sold I left an old insurance card in and it was provided when the buyer had an accident 8 months later and Country Financial opened the claim! This car hadn't been covered by me for almost a year! And my agent said, "Well, you do have a lot of cars." But they are all dense to open a claim on a car not covered. Even the claim adjuster said he had no idea why they told him to take it. I sent a bill of sale he asked for and got it closed, but that closed claim is on my policy now and I am not happy about it. Then they decided not to renew me because I have so many cars (4).. They are crappy and agents are very unreliable. I loved this company so much before this but now I have switched to a different company.

MY DAUGHTER WAS SIDE SWIPED BY THERE INSURED AND THEY WHERE AT FAULT AND WHERE GIVINEN A TICKET ON THE SCENE. KEVIN TOLD ME HE IS WAITING FOR THE POLICE REPORT BECAUSE THEY CLIAM THEY ARE NOT AT FAULT. NOW THEY WANT US TO WAIT ALMOST 2 MONTHS WITH OUT A VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GO TO COURT. HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE OFFERING INSURANCE TO PEOPLE .IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WITH ANYONE WITH THIS COMPANY BE AWARE YOU WILL BE WAITING A LONG TIME THEY PLAY GAMES AND CHANGE THERE STORIES.

first of all if you can get the agents to call back. They are just rude and have a non give a crap attitude about your concerns. And once you call them on being rude they raise your rates two fold to push you away. IT WORKS GREAT BY COUNTRY.

Avoid at all costs! If you are ever unfortunate enough to file a claim they will do everything they can to prevent you from actually receiving the benefits you have been paying for.
We had a large tree fall on our house almost 3 months ago - it has been nothing but delay, deny evidence of deeper structural damage than can be seen on the surface, and refuse to work with our contractor to develop an accurate estimate of repairs. Their "estimate" is just 2/3 of what our contractor says it will actually take to fix our house. Shame!

I was on staff and a customer. Both ended. A poorly managed and, at times, hostile environment. Every sector is geared towards getting by on the least possible, then cutting more. I could not recommend their employ in any sense.

While stopped at a traffic light Parents car was rear ended obvious 100% other drivers fault when trying to straighten out there mistakes on the policy we were placed on hold till Bill in Bloomington Il was available he was rude crude and obnoxious to an 80 plus year old women when i took over on phone he began to make rude comments about the whole family.Very Sad and would love to see BIll face to face and see what kind of comments he would make.he was acting like a thug on the phone.so we have canceled all policies and will spend the rest of my life bad mouthing this company as they are crooked as can be and should be ran out of town look else where for insurance there branch office in Champaign IL is where the policy was started.Shame on this company for allowing senior citizens or anyone to be treated this way just goes to show they will prey on anyone they think they can.

Best Claims Experience after Hurricane Michael , November, 2018
Country Financial is told to be first insurance Company that Responded to Hurricane Michael, not just for their insured, but anyone from general public who was struggling and needed assistance. My home was unlivable and they flew an adjuster over right away. My coverage provided a rental home, furnished, and provided reimbursement for spoiled food as a result of power outages. I have never been thru something so terrifying, but do to the company's handling of the claim, I haven't cried once (I am a very emotional person). Some neighbors who are still in hotels are STILL waiting for State Farm to send an adjuster. I wish I would've told them about CF before the hurricane. I stress to u all, KNOW UR HOME INSURANCE COVERAGE DETAILS!
Storm Damage got a quick response., January, 2018
A few months ago we had a tree from a vacant property fall on our house. Not knowing the procedure we called the claim office. An adjuster arrived the next day. He ran up a ladder like he was a squirrel to inspect the roof under the tree branches. He than checked all of the siding and windows in the area of the storm damage.
This all concluded with directions of how to have the tree removed, the damage repaired, a check in hand and the assurance that our rates would not be increased.
Hopefully, there will be no more claims but if there are I feel confident we are insured with one of the better companies.
Unbelievable service after tornado, September, 2017
Our house was destroyed by an F4 tornado. Country Financial did an excellent job of working with us through the replacement of our house, belongings, and vehicles. Unlike our neighbors with other more famous companies, we had ZERO problems contacting our agent and adjuster (and we only had one adjustor who worked with us for the entire house/belongings portion of the process). I cannot recommend them highly enough. Yes, you might make a higher payment for the insurance but if you ever need to make a major claim, it is money very well spent.

My spouse backed into a brand new (less than 150 miles) Audi. Claim was handed quickly and efficiently. Rate increase was minimal although repair cost was high. Agent is friendly and helpful.

We are so disappointing with Country Financial Insurance. We have been members for about 10 years now. Us, our children, our parents, relatives and friends. This renewal all of us got our rates jacked up so much higher, we got ours raised by $130! No reported accidents or tickets, all because of some computer generated "score." Now we are all going to search for a different company, and we will be telling all of our friends and family to do the same. We tried calling Country to talk to them about this, but no one was able to help us. We had all of our belongings insured here.
