Very poor policy, January, 2017
Got this insurance in August 2016. Had a mammogram in Sept. They will not pay for it even tho I was told it was covered. I paid 207$ every month until this month. It is BS. Well I am not a fool. I cancelled it. Wish I had never dealt with this company.

Terrible claim service. You submit medical records over and over and they don't show up on their system. You provide information requested and they keep asking for it. 4 months and a simple claim still has not been paid.
My experience was horrible., September, 2017
I had switched from Blue Cross Blue Shield to Central United having been completely healthy. Three months after switching I had a TIA and had to visit an emergency room. Central United would not pay the claim, stating that it was a pre-existing condition. It most certainly was not. Even after multiple calls, they would not pay. I wasted 3 months of cost for insurance and then had to pay medical costs on my own. This company is a rip off. My recommendation is do not participate.

WORST company ever. They lie and will never pay any claims even though they are valid claims. They need to CLOSED DOWN. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Horrible customer service, June, 2017
We were sold this cancer policy by a friend of ours. We were sold the "summary" not the actual policy. We were told this was the "best" policy on the market----were we misinformed!!! It seems that everything has a $5,000 max lifetime cap. The policies we had did NOT have this cap. Shame on me for trusting this agent/friend. We had the cancer and the dreaded disease policy. My wife has had cancer and I had quadruple by-pass surgery within the last 12 months. Their customer service is deplorable! They don't appear to have a clue as to what they are doing. We started filing October 2016 and are still getting the run-around about our claims. They constantly need more/different information from what we provide---I think it is so they won't have to pay the claims. We have received a few checks from them but we still have quite a few more that we should receive--we think. We can't get a straight answer from them and they always say that someone will look at our claim within 15 business days. That turns into a month at least. We still have claims for rehab, travel, etc to file but we're afraid to muddy the water until we get what they already have settled. I think we will have to actually get an attorney involved to get our claims resolved. This company is the WORST I have EVER dealt with. I would not recommend them to anyone. I feel that we have been lied too and mislead by the agent, by the customer service dept, by the policy holder service dept and anyone else that we will speak with in the future. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!
Cancellation of policy, January, 2016
I have had a health insurance policy with Central United Life for 41 years. As of December, 2015, this company cancelled my policy for no apparent reason other than they no longer would provide this sort of coverage. I've complained to them and local government bodies. No response!

This company is a fraud. I live in California and according to an investigation the policy was purchased in Tennessee! And not only that the broker had given us the run around for 2 months on how my doctor listed my conditions. Then when we complied they quickly sent a denial letter. What a set up. Here we thought we were complying with their rules but we were only told what to do to cause a denial of our claim! Then they denied an appeal claiming that the state investigation was acting on my behalf as an appeal process thus any appeal option I may have had has been exhausted. According to the state they did not appeal on my behalf.
WORST INSURANCE I EVER HAD, April, 2015
I WAS TOLD BY OUR AGENT THAT THEY CENTRAL UNITED WOULD PAY FOR 5 SICK VISITS. I FOUGHT FOR 6 MONTHS TO GET MY REFUND AND THEN THEY TOLD ME IT WAS AN EXISTING CONDITION. A SINUS INFECTION REALLY! I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SUPERVISOR BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID THAT SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE I COULD SPEAK TO. WELL LONG SHORT AFTER 7-8 CLAIMS EVERYONE WAS DENIED. SO BASICALLY THEY TAKE MY MONEY EVERY MONTH AND I STILL HAVE TO PAY MY DOCTOR BILLS. WHERE ARE THE PUTTING MY MONEY...IN THERE POCKET THATS WHERE
Better than Obamacare, June, 2017
Finally, my insurance pays on my doctor's visits. Way more economical. No one took my Obamacare plan and it was making me broke. My health insurance agent Michael Bennett really helped me. Had sick visit. Normally I was paying $80. Used this plan and they paid $75. I only paid $5. Had Urgent care visit. I paid zero....

Called 10 companies and they have either never heard or they do not accept. Called customer service several times and they said have eye care call them.

Purchased policy based on agent recommendation. Claim was paid with days after filing all the forms. Don't have really any complaint.
Fraud, February, 2018
We had family cancer policy...husband diagnosed
with stage 4 cancer and died within a week. Central would only pay room and board..said since he died so quickly and no treatment, they would not pay any more. We had policy over 24 years and had been paying over $300 per month for years. Not only predatory rates, denial of claim, but after losing spouse of 46 years, claims personnel rude, uncaring and cold. Also when I called agent of record, he said he had not been agent of record for years (so who was..no idea) Do not take out a cancer policy with them.

Fraud. Filed a claim after diagnosed with cancer. They cancelled policy after I filed a claim. Stated I had pre existing condition which of course I didn't. I have long term disability insurance policy with them also which I will now cancel because I don't trust them.

I will be canceling my policy I’ve paid more in premiums than what the insurance company has paid. For what I’ve paid in premiums I could have paid my bill myself.

Customer service is rude and not helpful! They took an extra payment out after I had already cancelled and I won’t be getting a refund for another 2-4 weeks!!!
