AIG sucks, February, 2019
AIG is a horrible company that will figure how to get your money. Then AIG will figure how to keep it. Go else where there have to be better companies. It took me a month to find out if a 40 year old whole life policy had any money for us? After nearly a month of making me jump through hoops the answer was no. All the money paid into a whole life policy was gone. We are screwed. A I G is not.

I've had my policy since 1994, 24 years now. Since 2010 I have not been able to speak to my agent. Statements, online records, and Customer Service, to this day, has listed my agent as Franklin W. Bice.
Each time I tried to contact him I received a recording. Frustrated with this constant 'wall' and run around I decided to search this fellow out. Five years ago I located him and was able to speak with him on his personal phone. He advised me that he had retired 2 years prior to this call. I was somewhat furious with the AIG Company and its customer service for the false information they'd been feeding me for so long. The next step I took, called customer service. Again, like past inquiries, they proceeded to tell me that he was my agent. I informed them that I personally spoke to him and he had been retired for some time. They could not explain why records show otherwise. Furthermore, when I demanded to speak to 'any agent' they told me 'again' that would be Mr. Bice. Biting my tongue, I asked for the names of agents in my area, or region....this request was fruitless, she could not help me. Throughout this conversation I asked to speak with someone who could help me, her response was 'all reps are currently busy'. No one has EVER returned my calls!
ALL I WANT IS TO SET DOWN, FACE TO FACE, WITH A KNOWLEDGELABLE AGENT TO REVIEW MY POLICY AND COVERAGE!!!!
After 24yrs, and tens of thousands of dollars paid in premiums, I feel a customer deserves, and is entitled to this respect.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY OR ITS AFFILIATES TO ANYONE, EVER!!

I was day-care teacher to Alan's sons.He helped me get a policy and even when his oldest son died he was very kind.I recommend him highly.I avoided all calls lately due to Trauma but will be contactin him soon to re-do benefits now that my family has grown.

I cancelled 3-4 months ago and their still billing me. I'm going with term life, less expensive and more insurance coverage.
