Are parents and/or grandparents of those eligible, also eligible?

Currently, only spouses and children of service men and women who are eligible for USAA can also be determined as eligible. Parents and grandparents are not eligible for USAA via their child's and grandchild's military service. However, the USAA does have retroactive eligibility. If a parent is the child of a living US veteran who is eligible, they may also be considered after a medical clearance. This is an effort by USAA to account for service-related generational skips.
