If you are the beneficiary, rest assured that probate is not even an option. The deceased named you as the recipient of the payout on the policy. They paid the premiums with every intent of the payout going to you and only you. This is the benefits of always naming a beneficiary on all insurance policies.

That is not to say the estate itself will not enter the realm of family administrators. However, as long as you were named as the primary beneficiary of the policy, there is no chance of that being included in probate. But be aware, that payout is the only guarantee unless the deceased also left a will.

By naming a beneficiary, in essence, you are willing that money to that specific person to avoid it being tied up with a family administrator. Now, if the policy had no beneficiary, it would be handled through probate and distributed accordingly.
