I had been a long time loyal customer with Company (X) for a number of years. When it came time to renew my auto policy, the agent quoted me a price that was way too high for an eleven-year-old vehicle and my homeowners policy was so convoluted I couldn’t even understand exactly what was covered and what was not so I decided to look around to see what other prices I could get. After I found out I was being overcharged for a number of years (I have excellent credit and no accidents, tickets, or any other moving violations), I filed a homeowners claim and dropped them. Someone suggested I try State Farm and Jay was a name I knew through a former co-worker. I called him up, he was fair and reasonable. After doing a driveby of my home he called back, quoted a price that was acceptable and we’ve been doing business ever since. That was 7 years ago. I have inquired about a surety bond for a business but I felt he was too high so I’m still looking for that at the present time. All in all, he’s been a great agent to deal with.
