Dave has answered all my questions promptly, and provided me with the coverage I need at a fair price. He came out to my home to look it over when I was buying my home insurance. That is a first in my experience. He seems to know his business well, and is a local in this area, which I like. I appreciate knowing that my money stays in the local community at least to some extent. I have bought several insurance policies in the past, and most of them were from agents that were far away from this area. That seems a bit impersonal to me. I like working with a local agent for a number of reasons, but the most important is that I am easily informed as to their honesty and the experiences others have had with them. I trust Dave and am satisfied with our business relationship.
I called Dave up for a homeowners insurance quote and he asked me some standard questions and said he would get back to me with a quote. I had a reply by email within an hour. It sounded good. Then he came out to my home and inspected the premises. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. He took some pictures and gave me my policy to look over and sign. I have had no claims yet, and probably will not, but better safe then sorry.
My experience with homeowners insurance policies is that they start out at a reasonable rate and then seem to increase in cost every year. That has not been my experience here, and I have had the policy with them for 3 years now. My premiums are the same as when I bought the policy. That makes me happy.
