I’ve never had any problems when it came to auto insurance from my agent. Over the years, I have purchased a good deal of cars, and have never had a problem getting insurance information faxed to the dealership, or having a copy of an insurance cars emailed or faxed to me.
On the other hand, when I was purchasing my home, I ran into quite a bit of trouble. To be able to close on the house, I was required to bring proof that the home was already insured. I stopped by the office to pick up said paperwork, and the proof of insurance had an inaccurate address for my home on it.
Luckily I reviewed the paperwork before leaving the parking lot, and returned to the office to have the error corrected. It took around fifteen minutes to get the correct paperwork printed out, and I proceeded to leave the insurance office and go to my bank to file the paperwork with my mortgage company.
I arrived at the bank to find another piece of information on the paperwork was incorrect, and I had missed it when I reviewed the paperwork before leaving the agency. It took two subsequent faxes of revised paperwork to the bank to actually get all of the information correct. They made me feel a bit foolish in front of my loan officer.
