Satisfying
I signed up for an online quote on the State Farm website and it directed me towards Steve as an agent since I couldn’t get my quote online. The first time I put my information in the website I didn’t receive any sort of call/email back but the second time I received a call from their office. The quote they gave me was comparable to that I received from other companies so I went with them since I would receive local service instead of just the general company service online/by phone. It was easy to change my insurance over, all I had to do was go down to their office and have them take pictures of my car for the full comprehensive coverage. I haven’t had much of a need to contact them since, which is a good thing.

Recently, extremely terrible.
I found out last week that my car insurance had been cancelled for 2 months when I got a letter saying that my wife’s car insurance was to be cancelled. I got that same letter before my car insurance had been cancelled, but after a call to the office, was told to disregard it. Since then, my wife’s life insurance policy which we had thought we cancelled is still active, and the extra charge it added to our insurance bill was assumed to be my car insurance, which is why I didn’t notice the money not coming out for my car insurance. Throughout this ordeal, I asked every phone call whether I still had insurance or not, and was told each time that I had, until the call about my wife’s cancellation notice a week ago. All of this stemmed from a fender bender another car on our family policy had in which the underwriting department had supposedly requested information about, but never received, so they flagged all the vehicles’ policies to be cancelled. State Farm’s underwriting department and claims department are apparently completely separate departments, and apparently don’t know how to communicate with each other, because underwriting could have easily got the information they needed from claims. Meanwhile, the idiots at the office are jerking me around saying I need to re-quote and that they’d get back to me but never call after waiting a week each time for an answer. I had to physically go to the office to get them to call the main policy holder for the information they were supposed to call about the week before. After getting my insurance back-dated and my wife’s life insurance premiums refunded, which hasn’t happened yet, but WILL happen, I am planning on going to Allstate. If they don’t make things right, I will call corporate. They say that insurance is good until you need it. I believe that now.
