1. I went to John McNamee Jr. after having a poor relationship with another insurance company. My first time through his door I was greeted with a smile and treated very professionally. I was not use to this treatment since I was only 19 at the time, and many treated me as an immature person. I originally went in for auto insurance, but he suggested that I get renters insurance too since I was renting an apartment at the time, and this would protect me in case of accidents such as flooding, fire, and theft, but also protect me in case of damage to the property when I leave. He also informed me that it would give me a discount on the auto insurance. Essentially I paid $6 more than I would have for just auto insurance to have renters insurance. Which I am very thankful I had. While renting we had a major power outage in the area that lasted for days. I had just stocked my fridge and freezer and lost nearly everything I bought. I went in to pay my insurance and he asked me how things were going. I told him pretty good except for what happened with the lost food. He told me that my renters insurance would cover the loss if I filed a claim. I was shocked. I hadn’t planned on filing a claim, I just assumed I would be stuck with the loss and be eating Ramen noodles and hot dogs for two weeks until I got paid again. Instead, he issued me a check the next day to cover my losses. This is just an example of how he is willing to go above and beyond to care for his customers. I have remained with him for 10 years since and have never had a complaint.
