1. Eugene has been my insurance contact for 3.5 years and has been a pleasure to work with. I compared the cost of the coverage he was giving me for my home and two vehicles with other insurance companies, and it was a lot lower. Since the price was lower, you would think the customer service would be lacking, but I found the exact opposite to be true.

   When a tree fell on my car, he quickly found me a body shop and got me a rental car, which was covered by insurance. He made a terrible experience much better, and more importantly, less stressful.

   I would highly recommend him to anyone. “

2. I went to State Farm in Lake Placid on the recommendation of my boss, who has his insurance there. I have always hated insurance so I was very skeptical going in.
   I sat down with Eugene when I arrived and he was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable and I never got the feeling he was trying to ‘sell me something’. He took the time to break down all of my current policies so I actually understood what I had and why. He put together a great package for me that saved me some money, which is great, but he also made me much more comfortable with insurance in general.
   I would recommend anyone in the area seek out Eugene for anything insurance related. I will be going to him for all of my future needs and questions from now on.

3. I had called and canceled our insurance with State Farm because they are very expensive. Eugene took offense and called me repeatedly to get me to change my mind. When I refused he became irate and said I was being ridiculous. Then he proceeded to keep calling me.
   There have been other complaints about this agent. I left reviews on the agency’s Facebook and Google pages. Mike Foote, the owner, called me personally to apologize and asked if I would take down the reviews because they were hurting his business. I did, but I’m upset that I caved. I think potential clients should be aware that Eugene has the customer service manners of a slug.

   State Farm isn’t as great as a lot of people believe. They are twice as expensive than Liberty Mutual or Allstate, with lower coverages. Add the poor service and well. I’m much happier than that I switched.
