He seems to be an okay insurance agent. When using one of the big companies, it doesn’t really matter to me how the agent is – I just assume that they are providing me the same bulk rate service as the next guy. I am one of the weird ones out there, I don’t want personal service unless I am seeking them out. I hate the cold calls trying to sell me additional insurance coverage. The agent also wants my husband and I to come in once a year and go over our current coverage. While this seems like a fine idea, I don’t have time for this and neither does my husband but when they are trying to schedule it, it’s almost like a bill collector calling and never taking no for an answer. They keep trying to sell my life insurance. I’m VERY aware that their underwriters will not approve me for this due to some off label infertility drug that my doctor prescribed in 2008 (it shows up as a breast cancer drug.) I’ve had every company in the book give it a try – including state farm and I never get approved. I have it through my work and I don’t need additional so I which he would leave me alone with that. Other than the cold calls and trying to sell me coverage that I don’t need, I think he’s a fine agent and I understand that upselling is a part of his business but I wish I could just give a blanket NO answer and that be good enough.
