Both of my parents home was damaged by a tornado in 2009. Steve Mason showed up in person the next day. He reminded mom and dad of what would be covered, and extra services available, by the insurance policy. He handed a handful of cash to them for their immediate incidental expenses, food, clothing, rental car, and a hotel room. He said he would take it out of the policy after the paperwork was settled. He offered advice on what to expect from people showing up to offer cleanup and repair services, and how to handle them. He really went in depth on his explanations, and was patient and kind with all of their questions.
That experience has always stayed in my memory whenever insurance comes up. When I bought a house near my parents, I did not even consider using another agent.
