We say hello every month when I drop off our payment check to her in person, but that's about it...
Haven’t needed to file a claim, thank God. Claudia offers us goodies at Christmas…gives us tips to save a few bucks here and there… I mean, it’s boring, but not unpleasant. She seems like decent people. There’s nothing tremendously exciting about setting up insurance. She’s good about not coming across as pushy when it comes to other insurance products we don’t really want or need right now. Of course, there’s a “corporate-y” air to her office environment, but we know where to reach her right away if we need to… someone we sort of know. We could probably get less expensive coverage with some online insurance company…and it’s actually easier to pay online or do an automatic deduction from the bank to cover premiums, but it is slightly more reassuring to know there’s an agent who lives in our community that knows generally where we’re coming from. If we had to file a claim, even if the process was no faster than most other insurers, if would feel like we were married progress towards restitution faster simply by virtue of the fact we can walk into Claudia’s office and manually complete forms or give Claudia our info personally. Yeah, it’s old-fashioned (most of Claudia’s clients appear to be of the Boomer generation, or older, we have observed, incidentally)…but it works for us.
